Run for the Last Mile 5K (Runners and walkers welcomed)
The Run for the Last Mile 5K is held on the campus of William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. The event is USATF Sanctioned and part of the USATF NJ Grand Prix as a 500 point race. Proceeds support the Last Mile Fund, a scholarship that helps students cover remaining course costs needed to graduate.
Individuals and teams may participate, including community groups, student organizations, staff, and faculty. Awards are given for individual categories and for teams, with additional recognition for team spirit and enthusiasm. The first 250 registrants receive a t shirt. William Paterson University radio BRAVE NEW RADIO provides on course audio during the event, and the course runs across the campus pathways and rolling hills.
