Run for the Last Mile 5K - William Paterson University
Run for the Last Mile is a 5K road event held on the campus of William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey, on 05/02/2026. The event is USATF sanctioned and is part of the USATF-NJ Grand Prix as a 500 point race.
Proceeds support the Last Mile Fund, a scholarship designed to help students cover remaining course costs in their final semesters so they can complete their degrees. Individuals and teams may participate; the event welcomes community groups, student organizations, staff, and faculty. Awards are given to top finishers by individual categories and to teams, with additional recognition for team spirit and enthusiasm.
The course runs across campus pathways and rolling hills. William Paterson University’s BRAVE NEW RADIO will provide music along the route. A limited number of early registrants will receive a t-shirt. The published registration fee is $40.00 and a student discount is available through the organizer.
