Run for the Heroes 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Honor Walk, and Kids Fun Run
Run for the Heroes is a Memorial Day running event held at St Anthony School in Florence, South Carolina. The event honors military personnel who died while on active duty and recognizes the sacrifices of active and reserve service members and their families. A military tribute takes place prior to the races and a Red, White, and Blue pancake breakfast is served to registered participants after the event.

Entry fee structure is listed separately for each distance. Fee tiers include reduced rates through April 30 and higher rates from May 1 to May 25. Military personnel and veterans receive 50 percent off entry fees with discount code HERO50. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and there is race day registration and packet pickup the morning of the event.
Awards are based on gun time and include overall male and female winners and masters male and female winners for both the 5K and 10K. Age group awards are presented for first through third place in each age group after overall and masters awards. Proceeds benefit St Anthony School with a portion donated to the local American Red Cross. Course maps are provided for the 5K and 10K courses.
