Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash 5K
The Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash is a community 5K run-walk held on December 12, 2026, in downtown Florence. The course begins at The James Allen Plaza, 119 S. Dargan Street, and is organized by Florence Downtown Development Corp., a 501c3 non-profit and Accredited Main Street Program.
Shirts are guaranteed for participants registered before November 1; a limited number of additional shirts will be available on race day on a first-come, first-served basis. Available shirt sizes include adult S through 2XL and youth M and L.
Awards are given by gun time and include Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female, Top Masters Male and Top Masters Female, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are: 7 and under; 8-12; 13-16; 17-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and over.
Registration pricing varies by date and category: early registration and student early rates apply through November 1, with higher late and day-of race fees. Race-day amenities include hot cocoa at the finish, a pre-race DJ, a meet and greet with Rudolph, and prizes for Best Dressed Reindeer individual and Best Dressed Reindeer Herd. Strollers, walkers, well-socialized leashed pets, and personal music are allowed. Packet pickup is day-of at The James Allen Plaza with check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m. Free public parking is available in several nearby city and county lots and garages.
