Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash 5K
The Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash is a community 5K run-walk held in downtown Florence with the course beginning at 119 S. Dargan Street (James Allen Plaza). Proceeds benefit Florence Downtown Development Corp., a 501c3 non-profit organization and Accredited Main Street Program.
Shirts are guaranteed for participants registered prior to November 11; a limited number of additional shirts will be available on race day while supplies last. Available shirt sizes include adult S to 2XL and youth M and L. Packet pickup is day-of only at The James Allen Plaza.
The event awards overall top male and female, top masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Overall awards are based on gun time. Age groups include 7 and under, 8-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration fee structure includes an early registration price of $30 until 11/01, a student early price of $25 until 11/01, late registration prices of $40 and $30 for students, and a day-of race price of $40 for all age groups.
Event amenities and notes include hot cocoa at the finish, a pre-race DJ, a meet and greet with Rudolph, costume awards for Best Dressed Reindeer individual and herd, free public parking at several nearby municipal lots, and that strollers, walkers, well socialized leashed pets, and music during the run are permitted.
