Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash 5K
The Downtown Florence Reindeer Dash is a community 5K run-walk held in downtown Florence on December 12, 2026. The course begins at 119 S. Dargan Street and is presented as a run-walk route.
Proceeds benefit Florence Downtown Development Corp., a 501c3 nonprofit organization and Accredited Main Street Program. The event is produced by Florence Downtown Development Corp. and lists volunteers as needed.
Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before November 1; a limited number of additional shirts may be available on race day while supplies last. Shirt sizes are offered in adult S through 2XL and youth M and L.
Awards for the 5K are based on gun time and include top overall male and female, top masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 7 and under, 8-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Fee categories listed for the 5K include early, student, late, late student, and day of race pricing. Registration opens January 1, 2026. Packet pickup is day-of only at The James Allen Plaza, 119 S. Dargan Street, Florence, SC 29501.
The event notes family-friendly elements such as hot cocoa at the finish, a pre-race DJ, a meet and greet with Rudolph, costume themes including reindeer and tacky Christmas sweaters, and that strollers, walkers, leashed pets, and personal music are welcome.
