Run for The Cove & Memorial Walk
The event takes place on October 18, 2026 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Connecticut. It combines a timed 5K, a memorial walk, a kids' fun run, and family-friendly activities to raise funds for The Cove's free programs that support grieving children and families across Connecticut.

Registration is open in late June or early July and closes in mid October. Listed registration fees are $30 for the 5K and Memorial Walk and $10 for the Kids' Fun Run; the price increases for day of registration. The event is held rain or shine and refunds are not offered.
Participants can create or join fundraising teams to support The Cove. A memorial sign is available for those who raise $30 by October 4; these signs include a photo and are displayed along the Memory Lane path. A T-shirt is included with registration while supplies last; sizes may not be guaranteed after September 27.
Volunteer roles and sponsorship opportunities are available for race day. Volunteers register through the event registration options and sponsorships provide financial support for the Family Program, Camp Compassion, the Virtual Program, the Summer Program, and Professional Development offerings.
