Niantic Jingle 5K
The Niantic Jingle 5K is the 13th edition of a community road event held in December at McCooks Point Park in Niantic, Connecticut. The event includes an in person 5K and a virtual 5K, and it benefits the Brian Dagle Foundation and Brian's Healing Hearts Center for Hope and Healing, organizations dedicated to the healing of grieving adults and to community education on suicide prevention and awareness.
The course follows the Niantic shoreline and is described as an easy flat route suitable for running, walking, or pushing a stroller. Awards are given to top finishers and everyone who crosses the finish line receives a medal. Additional event features include a costume contest, food truck, DJ, and an appearance by Santa Clause.
Registration opens July 1, 2026. The in person registration deadline is December 11, 2026, and the virtual registration deadline is December 12, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00.
Early packet pickup is offered at the East Lyme Community Center. Day of parking options listed by the organizer include St. Agnes at 22 Haigh Ave, St. John’s Green at 400 Main St, Niantic Baptist Church on Main St, VFW 39 on Columbus Ave, Hole in the Wall Beach, and Main Street Niantic.
