Run for the Beach 5K
Run for the Beach 5K is scheduled for June 14, 2026 at Dane Street Beach in Beverly, MA (93 Lothrop Street). The event raises funds for Salem Sound Coastwatch to support work on the environmental quality of Salem Sound and its watershed.
The event features family-oriented attractions including a photo booth, a life-size inflatable whale, and an interactive touch tank. The 5K race is held rain or shine. The course route is available on Google Maps and a downloadable hard copy map is provided.
Registration details are published in advance. Advance registration is $40 through May 31 and includes a race T-shirt. Same-day registration is $55. Children ages 10 and under may register for $10 when running or walking with a registered adult; children in strollers may participate for free when accompanied by a registered adult.
Event logistics note free parking on neighborhood streets, restrooms at the beach house, and water stations along the route and at the finish line. Vintage race T-shirts and other Salem Sound Coastwatch merchandise will be available for purchase. Volunteer roles are offered for race setup, registration, handing out water and snacks, course support, and cleanup.
