October Run for Renee 5k : October edition
The event takes place in Quispamsis, New Brunswick on October 25, 2026. It is a certified road race with a main distance of 5 km, presented as a Halloween edition.
The course starts at the corner of Gondola Point Rd and Vincent Rd and follows Gondola Point Rd to the area near the ferry. It is a point to point course, mostly downhill for the first 2 km, then with some small ups and downs to the finish. There is ample parking at the finish; participants are encouraged to use a buddy system to return to the start since no transportation is provided. Roads are open to traffic and registration is capped at 50 runners.
Registration is online only; race day registration is not available. Entry fee is CAD 10.00 per participant. The event offers a no-frills format: no t-shirts, no medals, and no chip timing, with refreshments supplied at the finish. The race was established in 2016. Course records are listed as female 16:57 and male 14:47. A points series covers seven races with small prizes awarded after the final event.
