October Run for Renee 5k
This event takes place on October 25, 2026 in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. It is the Halloween edition and was established in 2016.
The main distance is 5 km on a certified, point-to-point course. The course starts at the corner of Gondola Point Rd and Vincent Rd, follows Gondola Point Rd down toward the ferry, is mostly downhill for the first 2 km, then has some small ups and downs to the finish. Course records are 14:47 for men and 16:57 for women.
Roads remain open to traffic, and registration is capped at 50 runners. There is plenty of parking at the finish; participants are asked to use a buddy system to return to the start since no transportation will be provided.
Registration is online only, with a regular deadline of October 23, 2026 at 11:59 pm Atlantic Time. The entry fee is CAD $10. Race day registration is not available.
This is described as a no-frills race: there are no t-shirts, medals, or chip timing. Refreshments are provided at the finish. The event uses a points system across seven races with small prizes awarded after the final race, following the same procedures for points and tiebreaking as RunNB. Race bib pick-up is at Fairvale Elementary School from 7:45 to 8:45. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
