Event overview
The SUBWAY Restaurants Canada Day event in Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, is an annual running event established in 2002. It features a main 10 mile distance and a 5 kilometre race on Canada Day. Finishers receive medals, and a free sock package is offered to participants who complete both the 10 mile and the 5K. A walk-run clinic supporting the 5K is held on Wednesday nights in uptown Saint John. Prize money is offered in the 5K junior (under 20) category: $50 for first place, $25 for second, and $20 for third.
