Run for Refugees 2026 : Irving, TX
Run for Refugees 2026 is hosted by the Dallas Muslim Running Club (DMRC) at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, Texas, on October 3, 2026. The event benefits Ma'ruf Dallas and includes community activities near the start and finish area.
The event features the following sub‑events:
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K Race
The 5K is chip timed and results are available online; the 1 mile Fun Run/Walk is not chip timed. Race results for the 5K can be accessed via the QR code on race bibs after finishing.
All registrations include a Run for Refugees T-shirt. Finisher medals are given to participants for the sub‑event they registered for upon crossing the finish line. The 5K awards include overall and age group medals, masters categories, and team awards. A top fundraiser trophy called The Yousef Award is presented; fundraising must be submitted by September 13 to count for award purposes. Sponsorships and donations are accepted through race day. Race registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Packet pickup will not be available on race day. Scheduled packet pickup dates and locations are published in advance. On-site offerings include a vendor area, food trucks, and a kids zone.
