Event Details
The Run for Recovery 5K is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026. The event supports the 24th Street Clubhouse in Athens, Georgia, which hosts more than 30 12-step recovery groups each week. Registration fees and donations help ensure the facility remains available.
Race Information
The event is a 5K run/walk. The course starts and finishes at the 24th Street Clubhouse, located at 150 Collins Industrial Blvd. The route follows Collins Industrial Blvd and Calhoun Drive. Participants are instructed to use the right lane at all times.
Awards are given for overall male and female finishers, masters finishers, and 10-year age groups from 10 and under to 80 and over. Snacks and hydration will be available.

T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before May 1, 2026. Timing and finish line management are provided by Classic Race Services. The event is part of the Black Bag Race Series.
