Run for Recovery 5K in Tewksbury
The Run for Recovery 5K is a community 5K run/walk held on September 27, 2026 at Tewksbury High School, 320 Pleasant Street, Tewksbury, MA. The event supports Into Action Recovery Inc., a Tewksbury-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides sober living homes for people in recovery from substance use disorder.
Into Action Recovery follows a 12-step, Alcoholics Anonymous-based philosophy. The organization opened its first men’s home, Fox Run Sober Living, in September 2018 and, in partnership with Oranges from Morgan, opened Morgan’s Sober Living for women in December 2025.
Two entry categories are listed: adults 18 and older and youngsters 17 and under. Early bird registration fee is $30 for adults and $17 for kids through August 1, 2026. Standard adult fee is $35 through September 13, 2026, and race day adult registration is $40. Kids pay $20 after the early bird period and on race day. Participating children receive a medal and T-shirt while supplies last.
Race day offerings include commemorative shirts for the first 300 participants, gift bags for the first 100 packet pick-ups, free food and refreshments, and awards for male and female runners in 10-year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
