Run for MWS 5K

Run for MWS is the second annual Mid-Atlantic Region event held on October 11, 2026, in Frederick, Maryland at Monocacy Village Park, 409 Delaware Road, 21701. The event continues an effort that began in 2020, when MWS families began gathering each October to raise funds for the MWS Foundation.

The event program includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Fun Run, and a Support/Spectator option that includes a T shirt. Registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes July 10, 2026. Listed registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K Run/Walk, $20.00 for the Fun Run, and $15.00 for the Support/Spectator option.

Proceeds are directed to the MWS Foundation to support four program areas: Support, Awareness, Education, and Research. All registrants will receive a Run for MWS: Mid-Atlantic Region race T shirt and will have their name added for an opportunity to win additional prizes.
