RUN FOR DAD is a community event organized by the American Cancer Society to raise funds and build awareness about prostate cancer. Now in its 24th year, the event moved from Father's Day to September to align with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. It will take place on September 26, 2026 at Mercer County Park Festival Grounds - West Picnic Area in West Windsor Township, New Jersey. The event honors the memory of the event co-founder and those who lost their battle with prostate cancer.

The event typically attracts over 1,000 participants and includes multiple participation options. There is an in-person 5K run and a 2 mile walk, a Kids Run For Dad consisting of short children's races, a virtual 5K option, and a Prostate Cancer Survivor registration category. Registration opened on December 30, 2025; some in-person options had earlier closing dates while virtual and survivor registrations remain open through the event date.

The event summary includes national and state prostate cancer statistics to provide context for its purpose. In 2023 about 228,800 men in the United States were diagnosed with prostate cancer and over 27,500 died from the disease. About one man in seven will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. New Jersey has the third highest incidence per capita. Incidence among African American men is roughly 60% higher than among white or Asian men.
