About the race
APX Run For Avalon is a community 5K run organized by Alpha Rho Chi (APX), a professional architecture fraternity at the University of Michigan, in partnership with Avalon Housing. The event takes place on April 3, 2027, at the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning in Ann Arbor.
The event offers a single 5K running distance. Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes March 20, 2027. The registration fee is $15.00. Check-in and packet pickup are available on the day of the event. Weekend parking is available for free in the lot off Fuller Road behind the Taubman building.
Avalon Housing provides equitable supportive housing in Washtenaw County. Its mission is to build healthy, safe, and inclusive supportive housing communities as a long-term solution to homelessness. The event is presented as a collaboration between APX and Avalon Housing to align interests in the built environment and community well-being.
