Event details
The Run for Angels takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Newnan, GA (33 Greenville St S, 30263). This is the 24th annual edition and is the sole fundraising event for Newnan-Coweta Angel's House, a licensed community-based children's shelter that reports providing more than 40,000 restful nights to children in foster care. The event includes the following distances:
- Fun Run
- 5K
- 10K
Entry fees listed by the organizer are $20 for the Fun Run, $30 for the 5K, and $35 for the 10K. Registration by January 17, 2026, is required to be guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Logistics and extras
The course is described as a certified route through historic downtown Newnan. The start and finish are located on Salbide Ave next to the First United Methodist Church Parish Hall. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at the parish hall and on race day at the same location. The races use RFID chip-timing for results. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and masters, and to age-group top three finishers from 10 & under to 75 & over. Group registration is available and a prize is planned for the team with the most participation. A Chicken Q meal is offered for $17.50, and a course map is provided in PDF form.
