Event
The Run for Angels & Chicken-Q takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia. It is the 24th annual edition and serves as the sole fundraising event for Newnan-Coweta Angel's House, a licensed community-based children's shelter that has provided more than 40,000 restful nights to foster girls. The event includes the following distances:
- Fun Run
- 5K
- 10K
An Ellison Bros Chicken-Q plate is offered as a separate purchase for $17.50; the plate includes chicken, two sides, bread, dessert, and a drink. Registration for the Chicken-Q ends on February 2, 2026. Participants registered by January 17, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Logistics
The course is a certified road route through historic downtown Newnan with the start/finish located on Salbide Ave next to the First United Methodist Church Parish Hall (33 Greenville St S, Newnan, GA 30263). Early packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Newnan First United Methodist Church Parish Hall; race day packet pick-up is available at the same location. Walkers and strollers are permitted; pets are not allowed on the course or in the Parish Hall. Timing uses RFID chip technology. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, overall masters male and female finishers for both distances, and to 1st–3rd place in age groups from 10 & under to 75 & over.
