Event overview
Run for Angels & Chicken-Q takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia. This is the 24th annual edition and the event serves as the sole fundraising event for Newnan-Coweta Angel's House, Inc., a licensed community-based children's shelter that has provided more than 40,000 restful nights to hundreds of foster girls. The event includes a Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K road race, and an Ellison Bros Chicken-Q meal option.
Logistics and race details
The races use a certified course through historic downtown Newnan. The start and finish are on Salbide Ave, next to the First United Methodist Church Parish Hall (33 Greenville St S, Newnan, GA 30263). Registration by January 17, 2026 guarantees a race t-shirt. Early packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at the First United Methodist Church Parish Hall. The event uses RFID chip timing. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and overall masters for both the 5K and 10K, plus 1st–3rd place in age groups from 10 & under to 75 & over.
