About the race
Run for a Reason is a Two Daughters Foundation team entry for the 2027 Eugene Marathon weekend, held April 24–25, 2027 in Eugene, Oregon. The event takes place at 1675 Agate Street, Eugene, OR 97403, and follows courses through South Eugene and the University of Oregon area.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 26.2 Miles Marathon
- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon
- 5K Run
The Two Daughters Foundation operates a team fundraising pathway for participants. Fundraising minimums are specified for each distance: Marathon $350, Half Marathon $250, and 5K $150. When a participant reaches the required fundraising minimum, the foundation provides a registration link that allows registration without an additional fee. If the fundraising minimum is not met by the fundraising deadline, the participant remains accountable for covering the remaining amount to meet the minimum.
Team members who meet the fundraising minimum receive free race registration, an official Two Daughters Foundation T-shirt, and access to a fundraising platform and support, including an individual fundraising page and ongoing staff assistance. Funds raised support the foundation’s mission to provide free peer grief support to young adults in Oregon and beyond who are navigating serious illness or the loss of a parent or parental figure.
