Turkey Trot Eugene
Turkey Trot Eugene is a Thanksgiving Day road and trail event in Alton Baker Park, Eugene, Oregon on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event features two distances:
- 5K
- 10K (3rd year for the 10K)
The course follows the Ruth Bascom Trail network around the greater Alton Baker Park area, crosses the river twice, and includes many sections adjacent to the Willamette River. Runners and walkers start and finish at the same location. Course terrain has minimal elevation gain.
The event supports Food for Lane County. Food and canned goods can be donated in advance or on race day. Dogs are not allowed on the course; baby strollers are permitted but are asked to start toward the back or off to the side in the narrow start area.
The event uses chip timing for both distances. Timing chips are included on the bib pull strip at packet pickup and should not be detached prior to finishing. Participants who pick up a packet and do not participate are requested to return their timing chip.
Packet pickup is offered prior to race day at The District in the Alley at 5th Street Market and on race day at Picnic Shelter 2. Entry fees vary by distance and age category; shirts are optional for an additional fee. Awards are offered by standard age groups from 10 and under through 80 and over.
