Turkey Trot Eugene
Turkey Trot Eugene is a Thanksgiving Day road and trail event held at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, Oregon on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5K route on the Ruth Bascom Trail network
- 10K route on the Ruth Bascom Trail network, crossing the river twice
The course follows sections of the Ruth Bascom Trail with many segments adjacent to the Willamette River, minimal elevation gain, and a finish at the same location as the start. The 10K is offered for the third year. The event is chip timed for both distances; timing chips are included on the BIB pull-strip and should not be detached prior to finishing. Participants who pick up a packet but do not run are requested to return their timing chip.
The event benefits Food for Lane County; food and canned goods can be donated in advance or on race day. Early registration and packet pickup prior to race day are recommended. Packet pickup is available the day prior at The District in the Alley at 5th St. Market and on race day at Picnic Shelter 2. No dogs are allowed on the course. Baby strollers are permitted but should start toward the back or off to the side in the narrow start area.
Entry fees vary by distance and age category; shirts are optional for an additional fee. Age-group awards span categories from 10 & Under through 80 & Over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
