This multi-sport event supports research and advocacy for MPS1-Hurler Syndrome through the Kennedy Ladd Foundation. Participants can choose between running, walking, or participating in a sports tournament.
The course utilizes a paved path that begins at the Swan Pond Sports Complex. The route carries participants through Lakeshore Park and alongside Watts Bar Lake before returning to the sports complex. Both the 10K and 5K options are timed events.
The event offers several individual participation categories:
- 10K Run (6.21 miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Walk (not timed)
- 5K Virtual (remote participation)
The day also features a Wiffle Ball tournament consisting of teams with 4 to 5 players and a minimum of two games. On-site activities beyond the races include food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, and yoga. Attendees who do not wish to race can access the sports complex grounds to watch the tournament and visit various vendors.
Registration fees apply for the races and the tournament, with a specific option available for a commemorative event shirt without race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
