Run Durham Hamsterley 10K : Hamsterley Forest, 26 April 2026
Run Durham Hamsterley 10K is a traffic-free forest race over a 10K distance through Hamsterley Forest. The course follows woodland paths and mixed terrain with a hilly profile and distance markers placed every kilometre. A water station is provided at 5 km.
Event facilities are centred at the Nest Car Park, which serves as Race HQ and registration point on the day. Race numbers and ordered T-shirts are available for collection at registration. Bag drop, toilets and parking (follow Race Carpark signs) are provided at Race HQ. Chip timing is used; official race positions are calculated by gun time, while chip times are provided for personal reference.
Entries are limited to 500 runners. Entry fees are listed as £24 for affiliated runners and £26 for unaffiliated runners, and entries close on 20 April 2026. On-the-day entries may be possible but are not guaranteed.
Prizes include a finisher medal and vouchers for the top three male and female finishers. Age-group prizes are offered in veteran bands for women 35+ and men 40+ in five-year increments, subject to minimum participation rules. Team prizes are awarded to UKA affiliated clubs based on the positions of the first three club finishers.
