Event Overview
The Run Duck Run 10K Duathlon is a run-paddle-run event taking place on July 11, 2026. The event is held at Henry Horton State Park at Shelter 4 in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
Course Details
The total course is approximately a 10-kilometer distance. It begins with a ~1.5-mile run on a rubberized greenway, followed by a ~2-mile paddle on the Duck River, and finishes with a ~2.5-mile trail run along the Duck River Trail. Running sections use varied terrain including grass, rubberized greenway, pavement, and trail.
Participant Requirements
Participants must be proficient at kayaking on Class 1 water. A life jacket is required for the paddling section. The course has a 3-hour time limit, with park rangers conducting a sweep for safety.
Included Amenities
All participants receive an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a post-race drink, and a snack. Aid stations are located at each river access point before and after paddling.
