Faster For Foster Trail Run
Faster For Foster is a trail race at Preservation Park in Thompson's Station, TN, held on April 17, 2027. The event benefits New To You, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports foster children in middle Tennessee. The organizer states that 100% of proceeds will go directly to helping foster children, and foster children and foster families may register without fee.
Registration is online only and closes on April 10, 2027. There is no race day registration. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Cool Springs in Franklin and at Preservation Park near the pavilion.
Distances
- 10K two laps of the 5K course
- 5K single loop on marked trails
The course uses wide grass and gravel sections for the early miles, includes a short out-and-back segment, and finishes with narrower, more technical single-track trail. Runners will pass under a train-track bridge near the turnaround and navigate a notable hill before a downhill finish to the pavilion. The course will be marked with flags; if flags are absent for a long stretch, participants are advised to return to the last marker. The event welcomes walkers and leashed dogs; participants should yield when passing, keep dogs from obstructing others, and follow leave-no-trace principles.
Awards are given to overall top finishers and to age-group winners in standard categories, plus a K9 category in each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
