About the race
Faster For Foster Trail Run is a trail race in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, held in April 2027. The event benefits New To You, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports foster children in middle Tennessee, and the organizer states that 100% of race proceeds will go to help foster children. Foster children and foster families may register at no cost. Races take place on the trails at Preservation Park, 1600 Thompson's Station Road West.
The course is a loop with a short out-and-back section; the 10K uses the 5K loop twice. The route begins on grass and gravel jeep road, moves onto narrower trail sections with rocks and roots, includes a turnaround near a marked water stop where bib numbers are checked, and finishes with a downhill segment back to the pavilion. The course will be marked with colored flags; if flags are not seen for a long distance runners are advised to return to the last visible marker. The event is dog friendly; dogs should be kept on leash.
Walkers, hikers, and runners of different paces are welcome. Packet pickup is provided at a local Fleet Feet location and at Preservation Park on race day. Awards are given for overall top finishers, first place K9, and multiple age group winners in each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
