Event Information
The Mule Kick 5K & 1-Mile Trot is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee.
There are two race distances:
- Mule Kick 5K, which is a 3.1-mile course.
- 1 Mile Trot.
Both events start and finish at Riverwalk Park (102 Riverside Drive, Columbia, TN 38401). The 1-Mile Trot is open to participants of all ages and can be completed by running or walking. Dogs are not permitted at the event, but baby strollers are allowed. Walkers are welcome in the 5K but are asked to start toward the back of the pack.
Event Details
Packet pick-up is available on Friday, April 10, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion, which is located at the same address as the race start. This will operate as a drive-through in the parking lot. Packet pick-up and in-person registration continue on race morning from 6:30 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. at Riverwalk Park.
The event is organized by the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation. Proceeds from the 2026 event will provide operational support for Maury Regional Health's mobile healthcare unit. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Foundation's Wellness and Aquatics Center Healthy Living Endowment, the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department, and to support the physical education program of the Maury County school with the highest participation in the 5K.
Awards and Timing
The 5K is chip-timed by Bodies Race Company, with the timing chip attached to the race bib. Live results will be available via QR code scanning. Awards are presented in several categories for the 5K, including overall top male and female, masters (ages 40+), super grandmasters (ages 70+), and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. For the 1-Mile Trot, the top three male and female finishers under age 12 will receive awards, and all finishers will receive a ribbon.
Suggested parking locations include Riverside Elementary, the Riverwalk parking lot, and areas across the Riverwalk Bridge on the perimeter of downtown Columbia.
