Run Dorney Lake
Run Dorney Lake takes place at the venue that hosted the rowing events for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Situated near the village of Dorney in Buckinghamshire, this purpose-built rowing lake features extensive grounds that provide the backdrop for various running distances. The event utilizes a flat, road-based course designed for participants to achieve chip-timed results.
Participants can choose from three different race distances:
- 5k: A single-lap road course with an elevation of 8m.
- 10k: A two-lap road course with an elevation of 15m.
- Half Marathon: A four-lap road course including a U-turn on each lap, with a total elevation of 27m.
The event includes an organized race village with various food and drink options. Marshals are stationed along the route to provide guidance to runners throughout the competition. Every entrant receives a unique themed medal and post-race goodies at the finish line. Additionally, free race photos are made available to all participants after the event. The course is fully chip-timed to ensure accurate results for all three distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
