Run Blossom - Centennial Park, Cañon City
Run Blossom is a community 5K held at Centennial Park in Cañon City, Colorado on May 2, 2026. The event uses a scenic, flat 5K course along the Riverwalk and includes on-course aid at the Sells Avenue trailhead near the one mile and two mile points.
Packet pickup and late registration are available Friday evening at The Hive, 729 Main Street, and again on race morning at Centennial Park. The event offers two participant waves:
- 5K Competitive Wave
- 5K Walk/Jog with YETI Wave
Awards are presented for first through third place in each male and female age group for the competitive wave, with age brackets from 3 up through 70 and over. The noncompetitive YETI wave awards place first through third within single year age categories from 5 to 18 years.
Parking is limited; organizers recommend carpooling. Bike racks are available at the park. Additional parking areas include the north side of Centennial Park, Veterans Park at 211 S. 3rd Street with pedestrian bridge access, and Lincoln Elementary School at 420 Myrtle Avenue. Spectators can view the start and finish at Centennial Park and can also watch runners pass the Sells Avenue Trailhead.
Dogs are discouraged for this event except for trained support animals. Fremont Adventure Recreation organizes the race and promotes community oriented outdoor recreation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
