Royal Gorge Groove, Cañon City, CO
Royal Gorge Groove is a trail running event held on April 25, 2026, at Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort in Cañon City, Colorado. Races start and finish at the resort and follow trails along the rim of the Royal Gorge, roughly 900 feet above the Arkansas River.

- 30K
- 20K
- 12.5K / 13K
- 5K
- Kids Run
Courses feature technical singletrack and rolling terrain with aid stations placed approximately every two to six miles on many distances. Crews and spectators are allowed at the start and finish area, though parking may be limited. No pacers are permitted for any distance. Finish line drop bag storage is provided for runners.
Race weekend includes additional options and amenities. The organizer has reserved camping at East Ridge Campground with vault toilets and portable restrooms and offers nearby lodging options through Royal Gorge Vacation Rentals. A companion bike event uses many of the same courses on the day after the runs. Weather in April can be cool and may include snow; organizers may require essential gear and may alter or stop the event if conditions are unsafe.
