2027 Run at the Boathouse 5k & 10k
This event offers timed road races along the Mount Vernon Trail, starting at Daingerfield Island and heading north toward Gravelly Point. The course is a paved out-and-back route with minimal elevation change and includes views of the Potomac River and aircraft at Reagan National Airport.

Race services include chip timing, a finisher's medal, and a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1.55 for the 5k and at 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 for the 10k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are available at the marina and parking is provided at Daingerfield Island, 1 Marina Dr., Alexandria, VA 22314.
Results and tracking features include live results on Athlinks and a QR-code option at the event; runner tracking with SMS race updates is offered. Packet pickup is available at the event and attendees are advised to arrive early to check in. There is no on-site race registration for this event.
The event awards the top three men and women overall and first and second place in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Top three overall finishers are not eligible to also win age-group prizes. A virtual race option is available. Event proceeds benefit Semper Fi and America’s Fund.
