The Run at the Boathouse takes place on January 3, 2026 at Daingerfield Island, 1 Marina Dr., Alexandria, VA. The event follows a paved out-and-back route along the Mount Vernon Trail. The course is described as fairly flat with no major elevation gains. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. The event benefits Semper Fi and America’s Fund. A virtual race option is available.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 17; additional shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees listed are: 5k $30 until December 15 (then $35), and 10k $45 until December 15 (then $50). Prices increase by $5 on race morning. There will be no on-site race registration. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving one hour before the event to check in.
There are three water stations on the 10k course at about miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, and one water station on the 5k at about mile 1.55; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available onsite at the marina. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a QR code at the race; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Awards are given to the top 3 men and top 3 women overall and to 1st and 2nd place in age groups from 19 & Under through 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
