2027 Run at the Boathouse 5k and 10k
The event offers chip timing, a finisher medal and a technical event shirt. It takes place at Daingerfield Island and follows a paved out-and-back route along the Mount Vernon Trail, heading north toward Gravelly Point with views of the Potomac River and planes from Reagan National Airport. The course is described as fairly flat with no major elevation gains.

Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and also toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are permitted.
Logistics include packet pickup at the event and no on-site race registration. Restrooms are available at the marina. Parking is at Daingerfield Island along the George Washington Parkway; GPS coordinates are 38.830763, -77.041974. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is offered during registration.
The event benefits Semper Fi and America’s Fund. Water stations are placed approximately at mile markers 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65 on the 10k and at 1.55 on the 5k; some stations include Gatorade.
