The course follows the Mount Vernon Trail, running from Daingerfield Island toward Gravelly Point. The route provides views of the Potomac River and aircraft activity near Reagan National Airport. Race results earn points toward the organizer's Year Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and also count for the Winter Series. Walkers and strollers are explicitly welcome.
