Run Against ALS 5K and Kids Fun Run
Run Against ALS is scheduled for September 26, 2026 in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey at Wildwood Elementary School. The event is organized by a volunteer nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and supports individuals affected by the disease, organizations that provide equipment and related services, and research institutions.
The event offers the following options:
- 5K in person or virtual
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run untimed
Participants who register three weeks before the event receive a personalized bib. Race shirts are guaranteed for those who register by September 9, 2026. Virtual participants receive mailed bibs the Monday before the event and may upload times and photos between September 26 and October 4. Live results are available by text or email and finish line photos are provided free of charge.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and top three in multiple age groups, including youth and senior categories. Parking is directed to Briarcliff Middle School or Mountain Lakes High School. Registration fees are non-refundable and used toward race expenses; a purchase protection option is offered as a separate service for qualifying unforeseen circumstances.
