Run Against ALS 5K and Kids Fun Run
Run Against ALS is a volunteer nonprofit 5K run/walk with an accompanying 1 mile kids fun run and a virtual 5K option. The event is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Wildwood Elementary School in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey and will proceed rain or shine.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (untimed)
- Virtual 5K (participants may post times Sept 26 to Oct 4)
Registration includes options for in person or virtual participation. Early bird pricing for the 5K and virtual 5K increases after April 29, 2026. Registration fees are nonrefundable and are used toward race expenses. Personalized bibs are available when registered three weeks in advance. Participants who register by September 9, 2026 are guaranteed a race shirt while supplies last.
Event amenities include live text and email results and free finish line photos. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to top three male and female finishers across standard age groups, including 11 and under and decade ranges up to 80 and over. Parking is directed to Briarcliff Middle School or Mountain Lakes High School.
Proceeds are intended to support individuals affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, organizations that provide equipment and services for people with ALS, and institutions conducting ALS research. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
