About the race
Run Against ALS 5K and Kids Fun Run is a community fundraising event held on September 26, 2026 at Wildwood Elementary School, 51 Glen Road, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. The event is presented by a volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide relief, serve, and empower individuals affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) through public awareness and fundraising to support equipment needs and research.

- 5K in-person and virtual options
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run, untimed
Registration options include in-person 5K, virtual 5K, and an untimed 1 mile kids fun run. Early-bird pricing applies until April 29, 2026. Virtual participants may complete their 5K from any location and upload times and photos during the event window. Virtual entries may not include bibs or event swag; mailed bibs are sent beginning the Monday before the event.
Event amenities listed for race weekend include live online, text, and email results; free finish line photos; and a personalized bib for participants who register at least three weeks before race day. Participants who register by September 9, 2026 are guaranteed a race shirt. Awards are planned for top overall finishers and age-group top three finishers. Parking is directed to Briarcliff Middle School or Mountain Lakes High School. The event proceeds support individuals with ALS and organizations conducting ALS research.
