Trail Racing at South Mountain Reservation
The FallApple event takes place at the South Mountain Reservation in South Orange, New Jersey. The race offers several distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles
- 26.2 Miles
- 50K
- 50 Miles
The course utilizes a variety of terrain throughout the reservation, including existing fire roads, single track trails, and some sections of pavement. Participants will also encounter various hills as part of the route. Due to the early September timing, the trails are typically dry and suitable for running.
Support is provided throughout the event with aid stations located approximately every three miles along the course. This setup ensures that participants across all distances, from the 5K through to the 50 Miles ultra-marathon, have regular access to assistance during their run.
