Run 4 the Border is a running event in Charlotte that uses the city's Greenway system and surrounding paved trails. The course is described as largely flat and non-technical, with routes that weave through urban parks, bridges, and tree-lined sections. The event starts near Park Road Shopping Center and follows well-maintained paths.

Each distance follows a different course layout. GPX files are provided for the courses. Participants may choose to move up or drop down in distance during the event depending on how they feel.
Aid stations and support are nontraditional: aid stops are located at Taco Bell locations along the route. The event is cupless, so runners should bring a refillable bottle for hydration and expect to carry their own fluids. The aid stops include novelty elements such as a Wheel of Fate that determines food items at each Taco Bell stop.
