Run 4 the Border
Run 4 the Border took place in Charlotte, NC on August 9, 2025. The event used the city greenway network and started near Park Road Shopping Center.
The event offered these distances:
- The Whole Enchilada 50K
- Dos Tacos 24K
- Churros 12K
The course followed well maintained paved paths and greenway trails through urban parks, bridges, and residential areas. The terrain is described as flat and non‑technical. Runners passed through the city greenway system rather than technical singletrack.
Aid and support were nonstandard for a running event. The event was cupless and designated local Taco Bell locations as aid stops. At those stops runners spun a Wheel of Fate to determine food items. Participants were asked to bring their own refillable bottle for hydration and to carry any purchases or personal supplies.
Runners could change distance in the middle of the event, moving up or down depending on how they felt. Shirt printing orders were scheduled for July 25 and shirts were not available through registration after that cutoff. The event was organized by Urban Runners and emphasized a themed, community oriented experience rather than competitive results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
