Run 4 Hunger and Health : Newtown
Run 4 Hunger and Health is an annual charity race hosted by the Newtown Knights of Columbus that benefits FAITH Food Pantry and Newtown Youth and Family Services. The 2026 event is presented as the 8th Annual Run 4 Hunger and Health and is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Fairfield Hills, 3 Primrose St, Newtown, CT 06470.
The main event is a 5K run/walk. A separate kids race takes place after the conclusion of the main event. The event program includes race day registration and opening ceremonies. Entry requirements combine an entry fee with a food donation: the main event fee is $30 plus three canned goods, while the kids event fee is $5 plus three canned goods.
Past event information notes that the 2024 Run for Hunger and Health 5K was USATF certified. In 2025 the organizers presented funds and donated canned goods to the named beneficiaries.
