Run 4 Brighter Days 5K
Run 4 Brighter Days is a community event at Lynches River County Park in Coward, SC that raises awareness, education, and advocacy for brain health and teenage suicide prevention. Proceeds support the Jonathan C. Smith Foundation.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K in-person run or walk
- Virtual 5K with mailed shirt and medal for timely registrants
- Kids run for ages 12 and under
Registration opens February 1, 2026. Virtual entries must be completed by September 1, 2026 to receive a mailed T-shirt and participation medal. In-person 5K registration is listed through September 11, 2026, and a kids registration option remains open on event day.
Fees listed include a standard 5K registration of $35 and a day-of 5K fee of $40. The virtual entry fee and some fee details vary by listing; kids runs are free for younger participants. There are no refunds for missed participation.
Event features include an awards ceremony after participants finish, entertainment and exhibits from the Environmental Discovery Center, a tree top canopy walk, and general entertainment.
