Running Wild 5K : Coward, South Carolina
The Running Wild 5K is a fundraising road race held in Coward, South Carolina on February 7, 2026. The event takes place at Lynches River County Park, located at 5094 County Park Road, Coward, SC 29530. The race uses the same course as the Run for Brighter Days and will not be a trail race this year.
The event benefits Black Creek Wildlife Center, an all volunteer 501c3 nonprofit focused on wildlife education, conservation, and rehabilitation. All proceeds support conservation work, educational programs, and the daily care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife.
Participants receive a 5K shirt while supplies last and a finisher medal at the finish line. Awards are given for the top three male and top three female overall finishers, and for the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. The race is part of the 2026 Pee Dee Grand Prix Race Series.
