10th Annual Run 2 Remember
The Run 2 Remember is a community event held at Salem Riverfront Park in Salem, Oregon. This occasion marks the tenth year of the event, which serves to honor men and women who have died in service to their country. The primary goal is to foster a community of support for survivors and family members of those service members.
The event features two distinct distances for participants:
- 5K Run/Walk open to all ages.
- 0.5 Miles Kids Run/Walk specifically for children ages 6 to 12.
The event is situated at 200 Water Street NE and is free for all participants to enter. Funding for the gathering is provided through sponsorships and donations from local businesses and the community, facilitated by the Veteran of Foreign Wars. These contributions assist in making the event possible and ensuring that those who serve are remembered by the community.
Registered participants may receive t-shirts depending on the time of their registration and availability. T-shirts are limited to the first 600 people who register for the 5K event by April 1, 2026.
