Event details
The 10th Annual Run 2 Remember takes place on May 16, 2026 in Salem, Oregon. The event is held at Salem Riverfront Park, 200 Water Street NE, Salem, OR 97301. It includes two in-person races:
- 5K run/walk (all ages)
- 1/2 mile kids run (ages 6-12)
Participation is open to the community. The event marks its tenth year of honoring men and women who died in service to the country and includes outreach to survivors and family members to promote community support on behalf of those described as “Never Forgotten.” The event is capped at 400 runners, not including staff and volunteers.
Logistics and fundraising
The event is free to participants and is funded through donations and sponsorship from local businesses and the community. Donations are accepted and are tax deductible through the Veteran of Foreign Wars. Parking is available immediately north of the Pavilion, with two other parking lots nearby and street parking across from the park.
