Lakeland Rotary & General Federation of Women's Clubs Rump Roast Run
The event is held in Minocqua, Wisconsin, at Veteran's Park Oneida near 121 Front Street and finishes near the Bearskin State Trail trestle. Courses run along Lake Minocqua shoreline and through wooded lanes and wetlands.
Three race options are offered:
- Calf Mile: 1 mile for children 10 and under
- 5K Run/Walk: community road and trail course
- 10K Run: longer course that passes scenic wetlands
Registration fees are listed as $45.00 for the 5K and 10K and $15.00 for the Calf Mile. Age group awards are given for the 5K and 10K with categories from under 14 through 80 plus; the Calf Mile uses age groups under 5 through 9-10. Overall male and female winners receive beef roasts and top finishers in each age group receive commemorative cowbells.
The race is part of the town's Beef-A-Rama festival. The festival includes live music, local food vendors and a beer garden; runners aged 21 and over may redeem a race bib for a beverage at the festival. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
