Lakeland Rotary's Rump Roast Run
Lakeland Rotary's Rump Roast Run takes place on Saturday September 26, 2026 in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The event includes multiple races that start in downtown Minocqua and finish at the trestle at the entrance to the Bearskin State Trail. The courses run along the shore of Lake Minocqua and continue onto wooded lanes and the Bearskin Trail.

The 5k course begins on Highway 51 at Veterans Park, follows the Minocqua lakeshore and local streets, then turns onto the Bearskin Trail to cross the trestle to the finish. The 10k follows the 5k route to the Bearskin Trail, then continues on the trail through wetlands and woods between Lake Minocqua and Lake Kawaguesaga to Baker Lake Road before returning to the finish across the trestle. The Calf Mile starts at the Bearskin Trail Head on the Island.
An awards ceremony recognizes overall and age group finishers. First place overall male and female in each race receive a beef roast. Top three male and female finishers in each category receive gold, silver, or copper cow bells. Participants receive a long sleeve race shirt; guaranteed sizes require registration by September 5.
