Minocqua No Frills Marathon
The event is a multi-distance running competition held in Minocqua, Wisconsin. The course runs on the Bearskin Trail as an out-and-back route that starts and finishes in downtown Minocqua. The course is certified for Boston Marathon qualification (WI22019DM).
Distances offered:
- Marathon : 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles
- 5K : 5 kilometers
- Marathon Relay 2 member teams : 26.2 miles
- Marathon Relay 3 to 5 members : 26.2 miles
Registration and packet pickup are handled in person at the American Legion, 121 W Front St, downtown Minocqua, on the day before the race and the morning of the race. An early start is available by special arrangement; early starters are not eligible for overall place awards. A super early start is available by special arrangement only. Runners are advised to bring a headlamp because portions of the trail are dark through the woods.
The local Cub Scout Pack 564 will manage the water station at the 7 and 19 mile marks. The event organization emphasizes a straightforward race format with separate individual and relay options and in-person packet procedures. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
