Minocqua Northwoods Escape Marathon
The Minocqua Northwoods Escape Marathon is a running event held in the Northwoods region of Wisconsin. The races take place on Memorial Day weekend, specifically on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The course is an out and back route utilizing the Bearskin Trail. All participants start and finish their respective distances in Bearskin Park, located near the trestle in downtown Minocqua.
Participants have several distance options available:
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 5K
- Marathon Relay (2 member teams)
- Marathon Relay (3 to 5 member teams)
The marathon course is Boston Marathon Certified, providing an opportunity for athletes to achieve qualifying times. Logistics for the event, including check-in and packet pick-up, are centered at the American Legion building at 121 W Front St in downtown Minocqua.
