Rumble in the Jumble V : Penistone
This is a six hour timed circuit event held at St John's Community Centre, Church St, Penistone, Sheffield S36 6AR. The route follows an out-and-back line along an old railway path; the listed course length is 4.37 miles and a 5 km turn point is used for shorter distances. Participants may complete distances from 5 km up to an ultra by completing multiple laps within the six hour limit. A final lap may be started before six hours have elapsed even if the finish occurs after six hours.
Distances on offer include:
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km turn)
- Half marathon (three laps)
- Marathon (four laps)
- Ultra marathon (seven laps)
Aid is provided at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilet facilities are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. There is free car parking at the venue and Penistone train station is approximately 0.3 miles away. A secured bag area is not provided; items left are not guaranteed to be supervised.
The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum entries are limited to 80 and entries close on 22/08/2026. Event instructions will be emailed to participants seven days before the event and race numbers are issued at registration on the morning of the event.
