Rumble In The Jumble V : Penistone
Circuit Running presents Rumble In The Jumble V, an inaugural event in Penistone organised as a six hour challenge. The event is based at St John’s Community Centre, Church St, Penistone, Sheffield S36 6AR, and uses out-and-back laps along an old railway line with a 5k turn point.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K (two 5K laps)
- Half marathon (three 5K laps)
- Marathon (four 5K laps)
- 6 hour challenge
- Ultra marathon (seven 5K laps)
Participants may start their final lap up to 5 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds after the event start; finishing after six hours is permitted if the final lap was started within that window. An aid table at the end of each lap supplies water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. After finishing, participants may choose a medal from a selection from previous events and receive a goody bag.
Basic facilities at the venue include toilets; there are no separate changing rooms or showers. A bag drop area will be available at the start/finish but it is not secure and valuables should not be left there. Free car parking is available at the venue. Penistone train station is approximately 0.3 miles walk from the centre.
The event is licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum permitted distances are set by age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
