Event details
The Rugeley Runners 10 Mile Race takes place on 15 February 2026. The race distance is 10 miles. Race HQ, registration and the finish are at Redbrook Hayes School, WS15 1AU (GPS 52.74716, -1.92995). The start line is on the Main Brereton Road, a short walk of approximately 5-10 minutes from Race HQ. The event has a total of 350 places and is listed as open. Entry prices shown are £24 (discounted for England Athletics/WA/SA members until 14 February 2026 12:00) and £26 standard. Proceeds after costs will go to the club, Blood Bikes and Redbrook Hayes School.
Course, facilities and rules
The start section of Brereton Road will be closed until the course turns onto country roads; the remainder of the route is on open roads. Marshals are placed along the route and a lead and tail motorcycle will be used. Chip timing is used and chip time starts when a runner crosses the start mat. Two water stations are on course, at mile 3.5 and mile 7, each with waste drop points. Race HQ facilities include toilets, a bag drop area and refreshments. Prizes include cash for male and female 1st to 3rd, a £100 course record cash prize for each gender, and male/female age-category prizes; a bespoke finisher medal is planned for 2026. Car parking is limited to about 150 cars; several official car parks are listed with capacities and the furthest is about half a mile from Race HQ.
