Event Overview

The Rubik's Cube is an annual running event held at Rose Rudman Park in Tyler, Texas. The 2026 edition marks the second year of the competition, which features multiple distances to accommodate a variety of participants. The event includes timed races, an untimed mile, and a dedicated dash for children.

Race Courses and Distances

The event offers several course lengths, with the longer distances utilizing a multi-lap format.

The 1 Mile option is an untimed event designed for those new to racing or those who prefer a walking pace. The Kid's Dash is a short sprint intended to introduce younger children to a racing environment.

Registration and Participant Perks

All registered participants in the timed and mile events receive an event-themed t-shirt and a cube-shaped finisher medal. Participants in the 5K, 10K, and 15K categories are eligible for age group awards, which are presented four deep across various divisions ranging from under 5 to over 80 years old. Overall medals are also awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as masters and grand masters categories.

Additional Features

A virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person, where medals and shirts are shipped to the participant.
