Event Details
The Rubble Creek Classic is a trail race held in Garibaldi Provincial Park. The event originated in 1985 as a gathering to run the route and celebrate the end of summer. Registration for the 2026 edition opens on February 17th. The field is limited to 100 participants.
Route Information
The course covers a distance of 25 km. The route begins at the Cheakamus Car Park and finishes at the Rubble Creek Car Park. The ascent is 1080m and the descent is 1353m. Runners traverse the Cheakamus Lake trail and pass through Taylor Creek meadows, near the Black Tusk, and by Garibaldi Lake.
Race Information
The event is self-supported, with no aid stations. There will be a sweep and first aid available on the course. Mandatory gear lists exist for good and bad weather, with the required list announced 5 days before the race. Poles are allowed. Participants cannot park at the start line; they must be dropped off or purchase a shuttle seat from the Shred Shuttle. A bag transfer service from the start to the finish line is available. The entry fee for the best-dressed participant will be refunded. There is a no-refund policy, but entries can be transferred to another runner until September 1st.
