RRR Summer Track 2027
The RRR Summer Track is a seasonal training program organized by the Rockland Road Runners, running from late May through August. The sessions primarily take place at the 200m track at St Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, New York. While the majority of the program is held at this track, certain sessions are scheduled at alternative locations, including a hill workout at Rockland Lake and a specific run during the week of the Summer Solstice.
Participants have access to structured workouts developed by coaching staff. The program focuses on improving aerobic and muscular fitness, race pacing, and training confidence. Coaches are available during the sessions to address individual training questions. The sessions include a specific speed portion, and the club provides water and Gatorade for attendees.
The following distances and activities are featured:
- 5 Miles track and road workouts.
- Structured hill repeats and interval training.
The program is open to individuals aged 10 years and older. Participants under the age of 18 must be supervised. Workouts generally proceed in light rain, though severe weather may result in cancellations. Access to the full season is a benefit for club members, while guests are permitted to attend a single trial session after signing a waiver. Weekly updates regarding the specific workout schedule and any location changes are communicated to registered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
