RRCA Club Challenge : MD-DC 10 Mile Club Competition
The event is a restricted-entry club competition held at the Athletic Building of Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Runners compete on behalf of their RRCA clubs, scoring points in a cross country style format. Awards are given by club rather than to individual finishers. An RRCA Presidents meeting is held immediately after the race each year.
The distance is 10 Miles with a time cutoff of 2 hours, 10 minutes (equivalent to about 13 minutes per mile). Entry requires valid and active membership in a participating RRCA club at three points: at the time of registration, at registration close, and on race morning. The event is part of the Maryland RRCA Grand Prix Series and serves as the capstone event within the series.
Registration opens and closes on specified dates and carries a registration fee of $35.00. The Athletic Building is located off Dragon Place, near the campus entrance on Campus Drive and Hickory Ridge Road in Columbia, MD. The description focuses on the club-based scoring format, location, membership requirements, distance, cutoff, and association with the Maryland RRCA Grand Prix Series.
