RRCA Club Challenge
The MD-DC RRCA 10 Mile Club Challenge is a restricted-entry race where runners represent their RRCA clubs and score points in a cross country style format. Awards are given to clubs rather than to individual runners, and the event serves as the capstone race within the Maryland Grand Prix series. An RRCA Presidents meeting is held immediately after the race each year.
The course covers 10 miles and is described as very challenging. There is a time cutoff of 2 hours and 10 minutes, which corresponds to a 13 minutes per mile pace or better.
The race is held at the Athletic Building of Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. The college athletic building is located off Dragon Place, near the campus entrance at Campus Drive and Hickory Ridge Road. The event is one of several that comprise the Maryland RRCA Grand Prix Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
