The Pendle Mountain Rescue Dark Dash takes place on Wed 25 Mar 2026 in the South/West Pennines, England. The venue is Barley Village Hall, BB12 9JT (grid reference SD 823 403). The course distance is 9.2 km / 5.7 miles with 350 m of climb. Minimum age is 18. The race holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.
Entry and fees
Pre-entry and entry on the day are available. The entry fee is £11.00 for both pre-entry and entry on the day. Teams are not allowed and there are no junior races. All proceeds go to Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team. Parking is available in Barley village car park; parking on the road is discouraged and may jeopardise the future of the race.
Course and safety
This is a night race across open and exposed fell. The route will be partially marked and marshalled by volunteers. Full kit is required; a good head torch and the OL21 map are essential.
