Pendle Mountain Rescue Dark Dash
The Pendle Mountain Rescue Dark Dash is a night fell race held on Wednesday 24 March 2027 at Barley Village Hall in the South/West Pennines, England (grid reference SD 823 403, postcode BB12 9JT). The course covers 9.2 km (5.7 miles) with approximately 350 m (1148 ft) of ascent. The event is listed in category BS and has a minimum age of 18.
Pre-entry is available via SI entries and entry on the day is also permitted; the entry fee for both options is £11.00. Competitors should use the Barley village car park for parking, as parking on the road may jeopardise the future of the race. All proceeds go to the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team. Teams and junior races are not included.
The route is a night race across open and exposed fell and will be partially marked and marshalled by volunteer team members. A good head torch and the OL21 map are essential and full kit is required. The event has a Permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.
