Blackburn 10k & Junior Race
The Blackburn 10k is a road running event hosted at Ewood Park in partnership with the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. Both the start and finish lines are located inside the stadium, providing a unique environment for participants. The course takes runners out into the Blackburn town centre and passes various local landmarks before returning to the stadium for the finish.
The event includes the following distances:
- 10k
- Junior Race
The route is managed with road closures coordinated by the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. Each kilometre of the course is indicated with distance flags, and marshals are positioned throughout the route to provide guidance. Participants receive chip-timed results and access to free official race photos after the event.
An event village is established on-site, offering various food and drink options as well as post-race amenities. Entry fees include a themed medal and post-race goodies. Participants also have the option to purchase an event t-shirt featuring the race logo during the registration process. The event supports local grassroots sports, education, and inclusion programmes through the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
