Royals Run 10K/5K/1K Run/Walk 2026
The Royals Run 10K/5K/1K Run/Walk takes place on August 15, 2026 at Burke Lake Park - Shelter A, 7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. The event accepts a maximum of 500 participants and is held rain or shine. It is organized as a charitable run/walk with proceeds benefiting the Organization for Autism Research, Upability Foundation, and NOVA Royals Athletic Club.
Distances
- 10K 6.2 mile wooded trail circling the lake.
- 5K 3.1 mile paved road through the park.
- 1K Short, untimed course for children ages 4 to 10.
Registration prices listed include processing fees, with separate base prices for each distance and group discounts available for four or more registrants and for ten or more registrants. Personalized bibs are provided for participants who register at least three weeks in advance. The 1K is untimed and intended for younger children.
Amenities include a commemorative finisher medal, live online text and email results, free finish line photos, and same-day bib lookups for late registrants. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall in the 10K and 5K, and to top three age groups in the 10K and 5K with categories 29 and under, 30 to 49, and 50 and over. Early packet pickup is available at Road Runner Sports in Falls Church prior to race day. Volunteer opportunities are open to people age 16 and older, and sponsorship options and in-kind donations are accepted to support the event and beneficiaries.
