Royals Run 10K/5K/1K Run/Walk : Burke Lake Park, August 15, 2026
The event on August 15, 2026, offers three distances: 10K, 5K, and 1K and accepts a maximum of 500 participants. It is a charitable run/walk benefitting the Organization for Autism Research, Upability Foundation, and NOVA Royals Athletic Club.
Course details:
- 10K: 6.2 mile wooded trail that circles the lake.
- 5K: 3.1 mile tree lined paved road through the park.
- 1K: short untimed course for children ages 4 to 10.
Registration options list base prices and group discounts: tiered entry fees for each distance with savings for groups of four and ten, and the total may vary with additional options such as donations. Personalized bibs are available when registered three weeks in advance. Registration fees are non refundable.
Amenities include a commemorative finisher medal, live text and email results, free finish line photos, and same day results availability. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall in the 10K and 5K, and to top three age groups in those distances (29 and under, 30 to 49, 50 and over).
Early packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Road Runner Sports in Falls Church. Volunteers aged 16 and older are accepted. Sponsorships and in kind donations are offered with levels starting at $500. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
