Royals Run 10K/5K/1K Run/Walk 2027
The event is a community run scheduled for August 2027 with three distances offered:
- 10K – 6.2 mile wooded trail that circles the lake.
- 5K – 3.1 mile course on a tree lined paved road through the park.
- 1K – short course for children ages 4 to 10.
Amenities listed for the event include a commemorative finisher medal, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks in advance.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in the 10K and 5K, and to the top three in each age group for the 10K and 5K with age groups of 29 and under, 30 to 49, and 50 and over.
Early packet pickup is scheduled at Road Runner Sports in Falls Church, VA (1118 W Broad St). A bib number is required for packet pickup; last-minute registrants within 24 hours will receive their bib number by text.
The event raises funds for NOVA Royals Athletic Club and benefits the Organization for Autism Research and the Upability Foundation. Sponsorship levels start at $500 and in-kind donations such as bottled water, bananas, energy bars, or services are accepted. Volunteers aged 16 and older are welcome.
