Royals Run 10K/5K/1K Run/Walk at Burke Lake Park
The Royals Run is scheduled for August 15, 2026 at Burke Lake Park - Shelter A in Fairfax Station, VA. The event accepts a maximum of 500 participants and offers multiple run/walk distances.
Distances
- 10K 6.2 mile wooded trail circling the lake
- 5K 3.1 mile tree-lined paved road through the park
- 1K short untimed course for children ages 4 to 10
The event benefits three nonprofit organizations: Organization for Autism Research, Upability Foundation, and NOVA Royals Athletic Club. Registration fees include processing charges; listed totals on the registration page reflect those fees (example totals: 10K $49.33, 5K $38.98, 1K $28.63). Group discounts are available: save $10 when four register together and $30 when ten register together. All registration fees are non-refundable.
Amenities include a commemorative finisher medal, live text/email/online results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for entries completed three weeks before race day. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall in the 10K and 5K and to top three age groups (29 & under, 30-49, 50+) regardless of gender. Early packet pickup is offered at a Road Runner Sports store in Falls Church, VA. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500 and in-kind donations are also accepted.
