Devil Dog Ultras
Devil Dog Ultras is a trail running event held at Prince William Forest Park, Cabin Camp 5, near Triangle, Virginia on December 5 and 6, 2026. The event offers the following distances:
- 100 mile
- 100K
- 50K
The course is a loop format mainly on single track with occasional roots, rocks, and brief technical sections. There are short sections of fire road and rolling hills but no substantial climbs. The first loop is 23 miles; subsequent loops are 19.5 miles for the 100 mile and 100K. The 100K covers three loops and the 100 mile covers five loops. The 50K completes one loop plus a nine mile loop. The course will be clearly marked.
Each loop includes three staffed aid stations at Camp Remi, Camp Gunny, and Camp Toofy, plus three unmanned resupply points named Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie that provide water only. Crew access is permitted at Camp Remi and Camp Toofy only. Aid stations offer hot food options and general runner support. Time limits are 10 hours for the 50K, 20 hours for the 100K, and 32 hours for the 100 mile.
Entry is limited to 300 total runners. General registration opens January 1, 2026 on UltraSign-up and closes November 27, 2026; a waitlist will open if events fill. To enter the 100 mile, runners must have completed a 50 mile race within the previous two years. Refunds and deferrals are not offered; bib transfers are allowed under specified conditions and deadlines.
The event includes a multi year Devil Dog Dynasty Challenge that awards gear for completing specified distance sequences in consecutive years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
