About the race
Devil Dog Ultras is a trail ultramarathon held in Triangle, VA at Prince William Forest Park (Cabin Camp 5). The event offers multiple distances and a looped trail course organized by an experienced trail running group.

The course is primarily single-track with occasional roots, rocks, and brief technical sections. There are spurts of fire road and rolling hills but no substantial climbs. The first loop for all races is 23 miles; subsequent loops are 19.5 miles for the 100-mile and 100K. The 100K completes three loops, the 100-mile completes five, and the 50K completes one loop plus a 9-mile loop. The course is described as well-marked.
Each loop includes three staffed aid stations (Camp Remi start/finish, Camp Gunny, Camp Toofy) and three unmanned resupply points (RP Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) that provide only water. Crew access is allowed at Camp Remi and Camp Toofy only; there is no crew access at Camp Gunny or the resupply points. Aid stations offer hot food options and volunteer support.
Time limits are 10 hours for the 50K, 20 hours for the 100K, and 32 hours for the 100-mile. Entry is limited to 300 runners. General registration opens Jan 1, 2026 and closes Nov 27, 2026 or when the field fills; a waitlist will open once races fill. The 100-mile requires a completed 50-mile race within the past two years. No refunds or deferrals; bib transfers are allowed to the same distance until Nov 5 for a $20 fee.
Prices listed for the event are $275 for the 100-mile, $230 for the 100K, and $115 for the 50K. The event offers 75 bunkhouse beds at Camp Remi for registered runners at $30 total for Friday and Saturday nights; bunkhouse vehicles will be parked about 1 mile from the start with shuttle service provided Friday evening and after the race. A place to store overnight gear before the start is available.
The event also runs a multi-year Devil Dog Dynasty Challenge that awards gear for completing specified sequences of distances in consecutive years; previous years' results count toward the challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
