About the race

Devil Dog Ultras is a trail ultramarathon held in Triangle, VA at Prince William Forest Park (Cabin Camp 5) on December 5, 2026. The event offers three looped distances run on primarily single‑track trails with occasional roots, rocks, brief technical sections, spurts of fire road, and rolling hills; there are no substantial climbs. The first loop for all races is 23 miles. Subsequent loops are 19.5 miles for the 100‑mile and 100K events. The 100K completes three loops and the 100‑mile completes five. The 50K completes one 23‑mile loop plus an additional 9‑mile loop. The course is well‑marked.

Each loop includes three staffed aid stations at Camp Remi (start/finish), Camp Gunny, and Camp Toofy, plus three unmanned Resupply Points Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie that provide water only. Crew access is allowed at Camp Remi and Camp Toofy only; there is no crew access at Camp Gunny or the resupply points. Volunteers staff aid stations and provide runner support.

Time limits are 10 hours for the 50K, 20 hours for the 100K, and 32 hours for the 100‑mile. Entry is limited to 300 runners with a waitlist once events fill. General registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes November 27, 2026. Base entry fees are $275 for the 100‑mile, $230 for the 100K, and $115 for the 50K, with scheduled price increases on March 1 and October 1. The 100‑mile requires a 50‑mile finish within the past two years. Bib transfers are allowed with conditions and a $20 fee if completed by November 5.
