About the race
The Rocky Point Race is a community running event organized by Kamino Running Co. in Port Moody, British Columbia. The course utilizes the Shoreline Trail, providing participants with views of the Port Moody Inlet. Held at Rocky Point Park, the event supports the Port Moody Firefighters Charitable Society.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km: A certified and measured course featuring chip timing.
- 1 km: A free kids race following an out and back route, which is unchipped but includes a bib.
Participants in the 5 km race receive a finisher medal, post-race snacks, and drinks. Grand prizes from partners are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Children participating in the 1 km event also receive a finisher medal.
Bib pick-up is available on a designated date prior to the event at Kintec Footwear in Port Moody, with race day pick-up also available near Pajos in Rocky Point Park. While refunds and deferrals are not permitted, registration transfers to other runners are allowed. The race proceeds regardless of weather conditions, including rain, shine, or snow.
