Flight and Footrace at Tulsa International Airport
The Route 66 100th Anniversary Runway Run takes place at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. This event offers participants a unique opportunity to run or walk on runway 18R at Tulsa International Airport. The race is stroller-friendly and features a variety of distances for different participants.
Available event distances:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run
- 1 mile Fun Run/Walk
Both the 10 km and 5 km courses are certified and timed using bib tag timing provided by Tatur Racing. Participants can access their results online to view, download, or share their performance data. All finishers receive a medal, and top overall finishers and age-category winners in the men's and women's divisions receive gold, silver, or bronze medals.
Registered participants receive free admission to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum until 1:00 PM on race day. Guests of runners may also enter the museum for a fee. Check-in, same-day registration, and packet pick-up occur inside the museum building. Parking is available on-site at the museum grounds off Port Road. All proceeds from the event support the museum's operations and educational programs in aerospace and STEM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
