Route 66 5K Alien Chase Run/Walk : Livingston, Illinois
The event is a 5K run and walk held as part of a weekend UFO festival at The Pink Elephant Antique Mall, 908 Veterans Memorial Drive, Livingston, IL. The festival spans two days and includes a vendor market with more than 55 booths on the lawn, food vendors such as Twistee Treat Diner, Mother Road Fudge, and the EATS Truck, speakers on UFOs, themed games, cornhole, inflatables, and an Intergalactic Pinup Contest.
Race entry is available online or in person on the morning of the event. Entry benefits local food pantries in Mt Olive, Illinois. Race registration includes a dry fit unisex shirt (guaranteed for online registration by July 1), a weather/sweat-proof bib, and a bottle of water. Medals are planned for first, second, and third place in adult and youth divisions; organizers have indicated work toward additional finisher medals.
Participants are separated into adult and youth age categories. For safety, bicycles, roller skates, scooters, in-line skates, and dogs are prohibited on the race course.
