Pre-event packet pickup is the day before at Milnot Beach; athletes must show photo ID and may not pick up packets for others unless part of a relay. Packets include a wristband to access transition, a timing chip to be worn on the left ankle, bike and helmet stickers, and a bib to wear on the run.
The race is USAT sanctioned and requires either annual membership or a one-day pass. On-course support includes a bike mechanic in transition, a SAG vehicle, and medical staff. Wetsuit rules depend on water temperature and there are published time cutoffs for swim, bike, run, and overall finish. There are no refunds, transfers, or inclement weather makeup dates. A finish line festival provides food, drinks, music, and awards by division and age group. Relay teams may consist of two or three members and hand off the timing chip in transition.
